Don't get me wrong, I've always known I was Black. I just didn't understand how differently skin tone would effect my views of the world's tragedies. This post defines the turning point of when I realized I'm Black.



Growing up, I wanted to be Britney Spears. Now that I'm older, I reflect on wanting to be a different person with a different name and a different culture. That experience is all in this short piece.
